Easily Update a Builder Grade Kitchen with a Backsplash
This post is sponsored by Aspect Peel and Stick Tiles.
The mere thought of adding a backsplash, or tile of any sort for that matter, has always stressed me out. Even though I DIY a ton of stuff in my home, I never thought I was good enough to put in my own backsplash. The thought of cutting the tile and grouting seemed impossible. So, for years I just dealt with the naked wall between our upper cabinets and our countertop and dreamed of the day when I could maybe hire someone to put a backsplash in for me. That all changed though last year when I attended the Haven Conference. One of the vendors of the conference was showcasing their line of peel and stick backsplash tiles, and that’s where my love affair with this easy DIY kitchen upgrade began.
Now I know what you’re probably thinking – “peel and stick tiles don’t look real.” And you’re probably thinking that because you’ve seen those full sheets of thin, plastic-looking tiles that are promoted as “peel and stick” and yes, those are not great. However, Aspect Peel and Stick tiles are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I have used them in two of my kitchens now and I legitimately love them. What I love about them is that they’re not the fake, plastic looking “tiles,” but are actual glass tiles! In my old kitchen, I used a smaller, mosaic tile from Aspect, and in our new house, I used a larger, subway like tile.
They were very easy to install as you literally peel the backing off the tile and stick it on the wall. If you want to see exactly how I installed it, head over to Instagram and check out my saved story to see for yourself just how simple installation is for these tiles!
Please do yourself a favor and go to DIY Decor Store to take a look at all of the amazing backsplash options they have using the peel and stick tile. I promise you’ll find something you love and the fact that they are relatively inexpensive and don’t require all the grout and other tools to install makes them a truly affordable option. Plus, they’re super quick to install! I kid you not, I managed to do my kitchen in just a few hours, completely by myself! Take a look at my finished kitchen below and let me know what you think!
