Get a Free Donut on National Donut Day
Tomorrow is National Donut Day! To say that I’m excited is a bit of an understatement. I might be slightly in love with donuts. I can’t sit down and eat a whole dozen or anything, but give me a good, soft, glazed donut and I’m happy. 🙂 So tomorrow, with it being National Donut Day, I plan on celebrating with a fresh Krispy Kreme donut – for FREE!

Yep, you read that right. Tomorrow you can get a FREE donut from Krispy Kreme! There’s no catch and you don’t have to buy anything. Just stop in and pick your favorite onem- for FREE!
Another place you can get a FREE donut tomorrow is at Dunkin’ Donuts. To get this one, you do have to purchase a beverage, but let’s be real – what’s a donut without coffee? 🙂
If you don’t have a Krispy Kreme or Dunkin’ Donuts near you, check with your local bakeries to see if they’re offering free donuts as many across the country are participating.
So what exactly is Donut Day?
100 years ago a Salvation Army Donut Girl gave a fried doughnut to a soldier in France during World War I. After that, thousands of doughnuts were made and provided to soldiers on a daily basis. Today, we celebrate National Donut Day to honor the original “donut lassies” and the work they did for the soldiers in WWI.
Hopefully tomorrow you can find some time to run out and get your free donut if available near you. I’ll be getting my favorite glazed (I know, I’m pretty plain :P) from Krispy Kreme.
