Fall One Room Challenge: Week 4 – The Fireplace

Ya’ll…this week was my FAVORITE week so far! Do you remember me telling you back in week 1 that part of my design plan included a fireplace? Well that’s cool and all, but there was one major flaw….my house doesn’t have a fireplace. And obvi I wasn’t going to try to pay someone a gazillion dollars to make one appear out of thin air. Plus, not gonna lie…I can’t have a wood burning fireplace (asthma and allergies are rough for myself and the little lady) and I’m just not familiar or comfortable enough with a gas fireplace to have one installed. So, I guess you’re probably thinking that means no fireplace then, right? WRONG!!! Electric fireplace FOR. THE. WIN!!!!!!!!
Ok, so I know what you’re probably thinking…”Ugh – electric fireplaces don’t look real at all.” Well, that’s also wrong. Real Flame is a company that produces GORGEOUS electric fireplaces that look pretty real and you don’t have to spend a fortune getting it installed anywhere because it literally plugs in to any standard outlet! And the other awesome thing about these types of fireplaces? They have a heating mechanism in them so you can actually make it produce heat if you want heat and the flame!
So this week was super easy for me because all I had to do was put the fireplace together and plug it in. I think it took me less than 30 minutes total to do which is the quickest and easiest thing I’ve done in this entire challenge so far!

This room is seriously starting to feel like something out of a magazine and I never in a million years thought that I could make it look like this!
