There are so many amazing brands out there right now that have the cutest workout wear, but my biggest complaint with it all is that of the ones I’ve tried, they’re either not of great quality, or they’re really expensive! As an example, I have a $78 pair of leggings that I LOVE, but there is no way I’d ever buy another pair because that’s like 4 outfits at Target! 😛 But seriously, when you basically live in workout gear (which many moms do), it’s important that it’s affordable and also great quality. I happened to have stumbled upon some great workout gear on Amazon that I want to share with any of you that are looking for some fresh finds for your workout wardrobe!
First up are these amazing pants! Leggings, tights, or yoga pants…whatever you call them, these will be your new favorite pair! I now have 3 pairs of these leggings and I basically live in them! They are sturdy, great quality, and a fantastic price! At around $20 a pair, you can afford to buy nearly a week’s worth of yoga pants for the same price as some of those “premium” brands! They come in several colors and are so comfortable you’ll never want to take them off!
Next up is the Mippo Women’s Cross Back Yoga Tank Top. I had been debating whether I wanted to buy this one for quite some time because to be honest, there are some pretty mixed reviews on this one. Clearly I decided to give it a try, and I love it! But let me give you the full rundown on this one before you decide if it’s right for you….
The biggest issue with this tank top is that it is THIN. Like really thin. However, if you’re someone that likes to run outside in summer, practice yoga or even hot yoga, or takes cycling classes in a gym, then you won’t be disappointed with this tank. Basically, if you’re someone that works out in a hot environment or one that requires you to be ultra comfortable, then this is the tank for you. While it is super thin, it’s also super comfortable and it made of a material that won’t chafe. It isn’t clingy and is in fact quite flowy, so again, for those practicing yoga of any kind, this is a great tank for you! And just like the yoga pants listed above, it comes in TONS of colors, so you can affordably stock your wardrobe since these tanks are only about $15 each!
Little known fact – I hate socks! I should rephrase that…I hate socks that are super thin, still cause blisters, and slide down into your boot or shoe making you walk funny. So to be fair, these socks won’t fix all of that because they’re not made to wear all the time, but they are good for a few key activities. First of all, yoga or pilates, these socks are amazing! They don’t slip down below your heel and they have little grippies that make your yoga-ing that much better! These socks are also awesome for when you’re doing housework and don’t like to wear slippers (ok, maybe that one’s just me 🙂 ). Finally, these socks are awesome if you’re in the hospital having a baby. Yeah, I know, pretty specific, but it’s true. When you’re in the hospital, the floors are kind of sketchy and the bathroom although clean, isn’t yours, so these socks make it a little easier to bear being in there. Plus, you’re likely to be exhausted and shaky while trying to walk after having a child, so the grippies on these socks are just the extra little boost of support you need to feel stable. So if you have a friend about to have a baby, I highly recommend giving them some of these socks to stash in their hospital bag!
The last piece of workout wear I want to share with you that I’m obsessed with from Amazon is this sports bra. I have tried so many sports bras, cheap and expensive, and it’s hard to find one that fits right for all of your activities. The other thing that gets a little frustrating is when you find one that you like, then you lose weight and it no longer fits right. I guess that’s not the worst problem to have, but when sports bras (especially when you have a large chest) can cost upwards of $50, you don’t really want to buy them in all different sizes. That’s why I love this sports bra. It has adjustable straps so you can get a little bit more time out of it when you lose some weight and you’re sure to have a snug fit. It’s a full coverage sports bra, so you won’t have that awful problem of “spillage” out the top or sides, and because it’s high-impact, it keeps everything in place even when running. This is another one of those things where I’ve had the expensive ones before, but with this one being under $30, it’s a way more affordable option for the same quality!
