I may have a problem… I don’t like clutter, unless of course it’s what I’d call “organized clutter.” I’ve been a little frustrated lately walking by my refrigerator because on the side of the fridge were all kind of things just randomly placed and held on and it looked a little junky. So, I decided to clean up the clutter a bit and use frames to keep the clutter organized. It’s like the junk drawer for your fridge. 🙂
To get started on this project, I went to my craft storage and pulled on three wooden picture frames I had previously purchased from the dollar store. From time to time I’ll stock up on frames that I plan on using for future projects. Ok, fine – I don’t always know what that future project is going to be, but it’s nice to be prepared, right?!? 😉
Next, I removed the glass and backing and spray painted the frames in my favorite gold paint.
Once that one was dry, I added magnets to the back of the frames at the corners with my trusty E-6000 glue and let it set overnight.
Now that the frames are ready, I removed all of the things that were on the side/front of the fridge so I could start from scratch. I used the blue frame for magnets and cards, one of the gold frames for announcements and invites, and one I kept clips in to hold things that require some sort of action (like a winning scratch off lottery ticket and the insurance cards that go into effect next month).
How do you keep your fridge from looking cluttered?
