Is it just me or does it seem that there’s this crazy law of the universe that says when you’re the only person in the gym on the treadmills, then inevitably the next person to get on one will pick the one literally right next to you? Without fail this happens to me EVERY time I go to the gym. Regardless of what time I go to the gym, which treadmill I pick, and who comes in next – they WILL get on the one right next to me. There are at least 10 treadmills in the gym I go to and I just don’t get it. However, when this happens it becomes a pretty huge motivator for me and I usually run faster and longer because I’m determined to win. I’m not saying I’m competitive or anything, but I do like to win – even if the person next to me doesn’t know we’re racing. 😉
